Mercedes-Benz Financial to join DealerTrack credit application network

Automotive News -- February 1, 2012 - 12:01 am ET

Mercedes-Benz Financial Services said it plans to join the DealerTrack credit application network in March.

The move makes a longer list of lenders more easily available for Mercedes-Benz's approximately 350 U.S. dealers, and it eliminates some duplication of effort for dealers who use the captive finance company's electronic-documents system for the sale of Mercedes-Benz branded F&I products, the company says.

Last year, Mercedes-Benz Financial rolled out a system that uses DealerTrack technology to create and process e-contracts for F&I products. Mercedes-Benz Financial, however, didn't sign up for the DealerTrack credit app network. DealerTrack Holdings Inc. is based in Lake Success, N.Y.

Starting in March, Mercedes-Benz will accept credit apps via MB Advantage, RouteOne or DealerTrack. Most U.S. Mercedes-Benz dealers are already DealerTrack subscribers, Mercedes-Benz says.
